WHO: Students in grades 2-8 are divided into small groups with 2 volunteer parent facilitators
WHAT: A voluntary reading enrichment program provided by PTO*HOW: : Students will read one grade-specific book per quarter at home then chat about it in small groups during their lunch time while eating Spirit Day Café pizza or a sack lunch on a Spirit Wear Day.WHERE: Various locations throughout the St. Ann School buildingWHEN: During Spirit Day Café Pizza Lunch on October 10th, December 5th, February 6th & April 10th.
Lunch Times:
2nd Grade: 11:25 AM - 11:50 AM
3rd Grade: 11:30 AM - 11:55 AM
4th Grade: 11:50 AM -12:15 PM
5th/6th Grade: 11:55 PM - 12:20 PM
7th/8th Grade: 12:20 PM - 12:45 PM*Please note that while the program is free we do ask that you find your own copy of the books for your child to read. Buy, borrow or check out from the school or public library.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!- Must be Virtus trained
- Commitment = 25 minutes, 4 times a year (see dates below)
- Supervise and co-facilitate group discussion (questions provided)
- We do ask that volunteers read the book ahead of time
- More information will be provided ahead of the program kickoff
